FORS Montenegro organized Council of Strategic Partners Meeting in Bijelo Polje on 30th July. During the meeting, decision has been made to invite NGO CEED, Ministry of Economic Development, and Secretary for EU Integration and Association of Municipalities representatives to delegate their representatives for membership in FORS Montenegro Strategic Partner Council.
FORS Montenegro took an opportunity to present recently finished Socio Economic Analysis of northern Montenegro to partners and informed participants that the analysis will be used by Montenegrin Ministry for Economic Development as a base for future development of strategy planning. One of the key talking points at the meeting was about funds from EU budget for pre accession countries. Head of Secretary for EU integrations Ana Vukadinovi? highlighted importance of timely and quality organized trainings for potential beneficiaries of these funds, with a special importance for northern Montenegro municipalities. All mayors and other particiapnts at the meeting adopted decision about forming project development teams in the municipalities that have not already established these bodies. FORS Montenegro will closely work with Montenegrin Secreatriat for EU Integrations with the aim to provide support to all 13 municipalities in their efforts to attract donors and to win EU grants.
The Council is a body consisted of 13 mayors of Northern municipalities, founders of FORS Montenegro, representatives of Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Protection and Secretariat for Development.
