The training on ″Public Relations for Civil Society Organisations″ was organised in Kolasin on 8 and 9 April 2015. The aim of the training was to contribute to bigger engagement of civil society organisations and their full and effective participation in media, familiarisation with communication tools and techniques, as well as the role and functioning of the media.
The following topics were presented during the training: importance of public relations, creating visual identity of an organisation, communication tools and techniques, design and management of the campaign, communication strategy of an organisation, public advocacy and media, media laws and European media standards, social networks, crisis PR, etc. Apart from the theoretical part, one part of the training was devoted to practical exercises, during which the participants had the opportunity to conceive initiatives on certain topics of social importance and apply gained knowledge on using communication tools.
The training was attended by 25 representatives of civil society organisations from northern and central parts of Montenegro who in this way built their capacities for better presentation of their work in the media, which should also result in better public perception of the importance and work of civil sector.
The training was organised within the project ″Green Economy Initiative", funded by European Union and it is a part of the project devoted civil society development, within which four trainings have been organised on the following topics: Project Cycle Management, Public Advocacy and Lobbying, Participation in Decision Making and Monitoring of Public Policies.
