In order to mark 22 April, Earth Day, FORS Montenegro, in cooperation with the Primary School ″Vuko Jovović″ from Danilovgrad organised lectures for 7th grade students on the topic Environmental Protection and Green Economy, as well as the drawing exhibition of the students' works on the topic ″Green Ideas″, in cooperation with the Primary School ″Mileva Lajovic Lalatovic″ from Niksic. The aim of these activities was to motivate children to start behaving responsibly towards life environment and think about ways of saving energy and natural resources.
During lectures, the children were given promotional materials – notebooks, brochures, T-shirts, ECO bags and pens with basic information and messages on the environmental protection and green economy as a mechanism for protection of natural resources.
In the previous period, lectures on this topic were organised in eleven primary schools: ″Bajo Jojic″ in Andrijevica, ″Vukasin Radunovic″ in Berane, ″Marko Miljanov″ in Bijelo Polje, ″17 September″ in Zabljak, ″Risto Manojlovic″ in Kolasin, ″Aleksa Djilas Beco″ in Mojkovac, Educational Centre in Pluzine, ″Hajro Sahmanovic″ in Plav, ″Salko Aljkovic″ in Pljevlja, Educational Centre in Savnik and ″Mustafa Pecanin″ in Rozaje.
The lectures and drawing exhibition were organised within the project ″Green Economy Initiative″, funded by the European Union.
