The accession process is of considerable importance for citizens of Montenegro as well as for the state. Therefore, it is necessary that local population is well informed about the integration process, benefits of EU membership and challenges which are already faced and which will be faced by Montenegro in the upcoming period. In order to provide as much information to the citizens of Northern Montenegro's membership in the European Union as well as the process of integration, within the project "Let Me Tell You Something about the EU 2" EU fairs were organized in Pljevlja, Berane, Zabljak, Bijelo Polje, Pluzine, Savnik, Andrijevica, Rozaje and Plav. EU fairs were organized during May, the Month of Europe, and within them the distribution of promotional and educational materials related to the European Union was done.
Sport and chess competitions, specially designed games for children and assembling of big EU puzzle were organized on these occasions as well. In all these activities, the main actors were primary and secondary school students who won valuable prizes in the competitions.
Within this activity, the central celebration of Europe Day which gathered a lot of citizens was organized in Pljevlja on 8 May, in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Montenegro, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and the Municipality of Pljevlja as the host of the event.
