On 1 April 2013 FORS Montenegro started the implementation of the project “Green Economy Initiative”, whose aim is to increase involvement of civil society organisations in creation and implementation of local environmental public policies and plans through building capacity of local CSOs to participate in decision making and formulation of public policies and promoting the concept of green economy and its importance in community development through civil society initiatives.
On 1st February 2013 FORS Montenegro starts the implementation of the project “Let Me Tell You Something about the EU” with an aim to raise the awareness of the EU and European integration process among the citizens of North Montenegro. This 12-month project will be implemented in nine northern municipalities: Andrijevica, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Zabljak, Plav, Pluzine, Pljevlja, Rozaje and Savnik. The idea for its development stemmed from the need for improvement of understanding of the European Union, its values and policies, functioning of the EU institutions and explanation of the implications of European integration process for Montenegro.
On 15th August 2012 FORS Montenegro started the implementation of the project “Cross-border Flood Protection and Rescue”, funded by the European Union within Cross-border Cooperation Programme Serbia-Montenegro. The project has been prepared and will be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro – Sector for Emergency Management and Civil Security and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia – Sector for Emergency Management.
FORS Montenegro, in cooperation with municipalities of Niksic, Berane, Pljevlja, Nova Varos and Prijepolje as well as with the public utility companies from these municipalities started with implementation of the project “CLEAN – Citizen Learning Environmental Actions Needed” within CBC Programme Serbia-Montenegro, financed by the EU.
On 1 August 2012 FORS Montenegro started the implementation of the project “PARHS – Preventive Actions in the Reproductive Health Sector” funded by the European Union within Cross-border Cooperation Programme Serbia-Montenegro.
