Training on Project Writing

DSC 0335FORS Montenegro organised a training on Project Writing for unemployed persons from the northern region of Montenegro on 14-16 June. The training was held in Kolašin and it was organised in order to strengthen capacities of the unemployed youth, women and long-term unemployed for preparation of projects and improvement of their competitiveness at the labour market.

The training was organised within the project SEEM – Social Economy for Employment in Montenegro, implemented by FORS Montenegro and funded within the Grant scheme "Youth, women and long-term unemployed at the labour market", which is part of an EU project "Active labour market measures for employability“, implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.

Study Visit to Social Enterprises in Croatia

Zadruga RukeFORS Montenegro organised a study visit to social enterprises in Croatia for unemployed youth, women and long-term unemployed from the northern region of Montenegro. The visit was organised from 24 to 27 April in the Osijek-Baranja County, in cooperation with the Association Slap from Osijek, with a long-term experience in the development of social entrepreneurship and social enterprises.
During the visit, 28 unemployed youth, women and long-term unemployed had the opportunity to learn about functioning of various social enterprises dealing with different areas and types of activities, such as food production, ecology, sustainable development, provision of social services, etc. The participants visited the following social enterprises and associations:
- Gloria Maris – a permanent exhibition of seashells and marine and freshwater world, the biggest in Croatia and Central Europe with more than a million exhibits
- Social Cooperative “Ruke“ (Hands) – an example of connecting small producers, marketing of local products and creation of an own brand of food products
- Cultural-scientific Centre “Milutin Milanković“, Dalj
- Entrepreneurship Development Centre/Local Development Agency of the Municipality of Erdut
- Students' cooperative “Dalya“ – an example of successful school entrepreneurship
- Eco Centre “Zlatna Greda“ – the first Croatian eco-tourist agency
- Cluster „Slavonka“
- Citadela – Centre for employment of persons with disabilities.

Training on Marketing Skills

MarketingFORS Montenegro organised a training on Marketing Skills for unemployed persons from the northern region of Montenegro on 25 and 26 April. The training was held in Kolašin and it was organised in order to strengthen capacities of the participants for promoting products and services, especially those which result from social entrepreneurship. Also, it enabled the participants to gain knowledge and skills related to selection of the market, development of marketing strategies and plan for positioning a social enterprise.
The trainer was Ms Sonja Vuković from the Association Slap, who has long term experience in the development of social entrepreneurship and marketing. She also presented good practice examples in the marketing of social enterprises. The training was attended by 29 representatives of youth, women and long-term unemployed.

Training on Writing Business Plans

DSC 0188FORS Montenegro organised a training on Writing Business Plans for unemployed persons from the northern region of Montenegro on 10-12 April. The training was held in Kolašin and it was organised in order to strengthen capacities of the participants for planning development of social enterprises. It is a continuation of the training process for the unemployed within which two trainings on Social Entrepreneurship and Marketing Skills were organised previously.The trainers were Ms Sonja Vuković and Ms Dragana Lisjak from the Association Slap and the training was attended by 25 representatives of youth, women and long-term unemployed.

Presentation of good practice examples in social entrepreneurship

Foto prezentacijaOn 24 April a presentation of good practice examples in social entrepreneurship was held in Nikšić, with the aim to raise awareness on possibilities that this concept offers for creation of new jobs and overall socio-economic development. Good practice examples of social entrepreneurship from EU were presented by Sonja Vuković from the Association Slap from Croatia with a long-term experience in this area.
Apart from providing information on social entrepreneurship, the aim of the presentation was also to motivate the participants to learn more about this kind of entrepreneurship which, apart from creation of new jobs, contributes to solving certain social issues, through practical examples. The participants of the presentation were civil society organisations, unemployed persons, representatives of the local self-government and persons interested in starting their own activities related to social entrepreneurship.
