Training on Social Entrepreneurship

DSC 0811

FORS Montenegro organised a training on Social Entrepreneurship for unemployed persons from the northern region of Montenegro from 10 to 13 April. The training was organised in order to promote social entrepreneurship and possibilities that this concept offers for creation of new jobs, solving social problems and the overall socio-economic development. Also, it enabled the participants to gain knowledge and skills for starting social enterprises, from an idea to the implementation phase and providing resources for sustainability.
The trainers were Ms Sonja Vuković and Ms Dragana Lisjak from the Association Slap, who have long term experience in this area and who also presented good practice examples in functioning of this way of entrepreneurship. The training was attended by 25 representatives of youth, women and long-term unemployed.

The training was organised within the project SEEM – Social Economy for Employment in Montenegro, implemented by FORS Montenegro and funded within the Grant scheme "Youth, women and long-term unemployed at the labour market", which is part of an EU project "Active labour market measures for employability“, implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
The aim of the SEEM project is to contribute to employment of youth, women and long-term unemployed through their capacity building and promotion of social entrepreneurship as a means of self-employment which at the same time contributes to solving certain social problems.
