The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria and FORS Montenegro handed over new equipment to the Brezovik Hospital
New equipment procured for the Special Hospital for Lung Diseases „Dr Jovan Bulajić“ in Brezovik within the project Improvement of Respiratory Health has been presented in Nikšić today. The project, which has been funded by the Bulgarian Development Aid through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to Montenegro was implemented by FORS Montenegro – Foundation for the Development of Northern Montenegro.
The aim of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of health services in this area as well as to raise the awareness of the population on the importance of respiratory health. The main activities included procurement of two bronchoscopes and a set of biopsy forceps for the Hospital in Brezovik and an awareness raising campaign on the prevention of respiratory diseases. The total value of the project is € 34,999.97 out of which € 30,439.44 was spent for the procurement of the medical equipment and the rest was used for the development of promotional materials for the awareness raising campaign.
The presentation of the equipment has been attended by the Ambassador of the Bulgaria to Montenegro Dr Meglena Plugchieva, President of the Municipality of Nikšić Mr Milutin Simović, the Head of the Special Hospital for Lung Diseases Dr Gordana Reljić and the Executive Director of FORS Montenegro Mr Veselin Šturanović. They expressed their satisfaction because of the implementation of the project and emphasised the importance of the improvement of the quality of health services of the hospital in Brezovik which covers with is work the whole territory of the state and is the only specialised institution of this kind in Montenegro.
The project Improvement of Respiratory Health is a continuation of the activities of FORS Montenegro in the health sector by which we strive to contribute to improving health services in Montenegro.
