The project "Let Me Tell You Something about the EU" is approaching the values of this community of states to the citizens of Northern Montenegro, through the organization of specially designed activities. Since the goal of the project is to raise awareness of the European Union and European integration, one of the activities is organisation of lectures for students who are the future leaders of socio-economic development of Montenegro and the integration process and a very important target group to which we should pay special attention in order to provide relevant information.

FORS Montenegro, within the project "Cross border Flood Protection and Rescue", with financial assistance from the European Union, Cross-border programme Serbia – Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) Component II, intends to award a supply contract for procurement of equipment for protection and rescue from flood for Directorate for Emergency Situations. Within the project "Let Me Tell You something about the EU", on 29 October a visit of the Ambassador Mitja Drobnic, Head of EU Delegation to Montenegro, to the municipalities of Pluzine and Savnik. The visit was organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, Municipality of Pluzine, Municipality of Savnik and FORS Montenegro. During the visit, meetings of the mayors of these two municipalities, Mr Mijusko Bajagic and Mr Mijomir Vujacic were held. After the meetings, a public debate in Pluzine and a round table in Savnik were organised, both on the topic State of play in Montenegro's European integration process.
October is marked as a breast cancer awareness month worldwide, with the aim of raising awareness about this illness and supporting prevention, early detection and treatment. Within the project PARHS – Preventive Actions in the Reproductive Health Sector, FORS Montenegro organised series of activities in order to inform the population about breast cancer and motivate women to take care of their own health, have preventive examinations and talk with their doctors. To that end, a distribution of promotional materials was organised in the shopping mall Delta City in Podgorica, in cooperation with the TV station TV Vijesti and NGO "Zdrava Donna Montenegrina". During this event, promotional T-shirts, notebooks, bags, cups and informational brochures were distributed to women. The event was supported by the Independent daily "Vijesti", Ministry of Health and young volunteers from Niksic.
Within the project CLEAN – Citizens Learning Environmental Actions Needed, funded by the European Union within Cross-border Cooperation Programme Serbia – Montenegro, a two-day study visit to the waste management plant CERO Gajke in Ptuj, Slovenia was organised on 24-25 October. The visit was attended by 30 representatives of the local self-governments, public utility companies and civil sector from five municipalities included in the project - Berane, Niksic, Pljevlja, Nova Varos and Prijepolje. The aim of the study visit was to get familiarised with the best practices in waste management which are applied in the European Union in order to improve the knowledge and skills of those directly involved in waste management in target municipalities.
Within the project "Green Economy Initiative", funded by the European Union, a two-day training on Public Advocacy and Lobbying was organised for civil society organisations from northern Montenegro. The training was held in Kolasin, on 21-22 October and gathered 22 participants. The aim of the training was to improve knowledge and skills of participants related to advocacy and lobbying and familiarizing with usage of different methods and technics from this field.
