Through the project "Let Me Tell You Something about the EU" FORS Montenegro realised 10 lectures on the European Union and European Integrations in high schools in 9 target municipalities during September and October 2013. The aim of the lectures was to educate and motivate young people to get involved in the process of European Integrations.
FORS Montenegro - Foundation for the Development of Northern Montenegro is implementing the project "Let Me Tell You Something about the EU" in the 9 northern municipalities: Berane, Bijelo Polje, Savnik, Pluzine, Pljevlja, Plav, Rozaje, Andrijevica and Zabljak, and is financed from the communication budget of the Delegation of European Union to Montenegro .The project aims to raise awareness of the population in the north of Montenegro about European Union and the European integration process.
Within the project “PARHS – Preventive actions in the reproductive health sector”, financed by the European Union, through IPA CBC Programme Serbia-Montenegro in Kolasin on 29th and 30th September 2013 the training for doctors on the “Prevention, diagnosis and healing of breast cancer” was organised. The PARHS project, in whose implementation are involved Montenegrin Ministry of Health, Health Centre Niksic, Health Centre Berane, Health Centre Pljevlja, Health Centre Raska, Health Centre Novi Pazar, FORS Montenegro and Sandzak Economic Development Agency – SEDA, aims to improve reproductive health among women in cross border zone. The goal of the training was to strengthen the capacities of doctors in the field of breast cancer prevention by introducing modern trends related to early detection of breast cancer.
During September, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, Ambassador Mr. Mitja Drobnic, visited the municipalities of Plav, Rozaje and Andrijevica. The visits were organized as a part of the project, "Let Me Tell You Something about the EU", which is funded by the communication budget of the EU Delegation to Montenegro and implemented by FORS Montenegro.

Municipality of Niksic intends to award a supply contract for Procurement of Equipment for Public Utility Company “Komunalno Niksic”, Public Company “Cistoca” Pljevlja and Public Company “Komunalno Berane” with financial assistance from the European Union, Cross-border Programme Serbia – Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) Component II. The equipment includes: 103 (one hundred and three) metal waste bins (containers ) (V=1,1m3) for selective waste collection, 3 (three) Secondary waste baling press machines, 2 (two) wood shredders and one waste vacuum cleaner for public spaces. Within the project "Green Economy Initiative“, funded by the European Union, a three-day training on Project Cycle Management was organised for civil society organisations from northern Montenegro. The training was held in Kolasin, from 29 July to 2 August and gathered 27 participants. The aim of the training was to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations to prepare and implement projects funded by the European Union.
On 18th July 2013, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, Ambassador Mr. Mitja Drobnic visited municipality of Bijelo Polje. The visit was organized as part of our project, "Let me tell you something about the EU", which is funded by the communication budget of the EU Delegation to Montenegro.
Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Ambassador Mr Mitja Drobnic will visit Bijelo Polje municipality on 18th July 2013. The visit is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, and FORS Montenegro which is implementing the project Let me tell you something about the European Union.
We invite all interested parties to participate in the Public debate that will be held in the Great hall of Bijelo Polje City Hall, starting at 10:30 am, where they will be able to participate and keep themselves informed on all matters related to the European Union as well as the process of the accession of Montenegro to the European Union.
FORS Montenegro designed educational brochure and posters within the project PARHS – Preventive actions in the reproductive health sector, funded by the European Union within Cross-border Cooperation Programme Serbia-Montenegro. The goal of publications is to provide information on reproductive health and to raise awareness among women on importance of conduting preventive medical examinations in order to prevent breast and cervical cancer.

FORS Montenegro is implementing a project “Exercises for your health – outdoor fitness“ approved by the Commission for the allocation of a portion of lottery income in the amount of € 14.800. The main goal of the project is to contribute to the development of positive attitudes towards healthy life styles as conditions for maintenance and improvement of our own health, health of other people and healthy environment. Considering that the healthy environment is, apart from regular physical activity, one of the basics for healthy life style, FORS Montenegro, by implementation of this project continues with their activities related to promotion of sports and healthy life styles with the particular emphasis on environmental protection. These activities, which combine development and promotion of sports and environmental protection as preconditions of healthy lifestyles, will be continued in future.
