The training on ″Public Relations for Civil Society Organisations″ was organised in Kolasin on 8 and 9 April 2015. The aim of the training was to contribute to bigger engagement of civil society organisations and their full and effective participation in media, familiarisation with communication tools and techniques, as well as the role and functioning of the media.
The following topics were presented during the training: importance of public relations, creating visual identity of an organisation, communication tools and techniques, design and management of the campaign, communication strategy of an organisation, public advocacy and media, media laws and European media standards, social networks, crisis PR, etc. Apart from the theoretical part, one part of the training was devoted to practical exercises, during which the participants had the opportunity to conceive initiatives on certain topics of social importance and apply gained knowledge on using communication tools.

On the occasion of presenting the project ″Cross-border Fire Protection″ funded by the European Union within Cross-border Cooperation Programme BiH – Montenegro, a press conference was organised in Sarajevo, in the premises of the Ministry of Security of BiH, on 19 February. Gathered media and guests were addressed by representatives of the instiututions and organisations implementing the project: Assistant Minister of Security of BiH Samir Agic, Director-General of the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro Mirsad Mulic, Director of the Instutite for Fires and Explosion Safety Edin Garaplija and Executive Director of FORS Montenegro, Veselin Sturanovic.
FORS Montenegro – Foundation for the Development of Northern Montenegro completed implementation of the 12-month project ″Let me tell you something about the EU-2″, funded by the European Union with the aim of improving knowledge and understanding of the citizens of northern Montenegro about the European Union, its values and institutions and the integration of Montenegro.
The project was implemented in the municipalities of Berane, Andrijevica, Plav, Rozaje, Bijelo Polje, Zabljak, Savnik, Pluzine and Pljevlja, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and local authorities from target municipalities.
In order to present the project "Cross-border Fire Protection" funded by the European Union within Cross-border Cooperation Programme BiH-Montenegro, the first press conference was organised in the premises of the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, on 27 January 2015. The Memorandum of Cooperation on the project was signed on that occasion.
The following representatives of the project partners spoke on the conference: Director-General of the Directorate for Emergency Management, Assistant Minister of Security of BiH Samir Agic, Director of the Institite for Fires and Explosion Safety Edin Garaplija and Executive Director of FORS Montenegro, Veselin Sturanovic.
Representatives of partner institutions and organisations pointed out that the project is very important for continuation of good cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro in the development of protection and rescue systems of both countries, as such projects contribute to adjustment of standards for development of the highest quality achievements in strengthening human and technical capacities of institutions and services dealing with protection from fires.
In order to present the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance – IPA and possibilities offered through this funding mechanism for Montenegrin applicants, FORS Montenegro is organising info presentations in the municipalities in northern region. Some of the IPA projects that have been successfully implemented in the north are also presented during these events. Special emphasis has been put on presenting the new financial perspective 2014-2020 and IPA 2 which covers this period. From 2007-2013, IPA I was available for Montenegro with 245 million euros of non-repayable financial support, while IPA II includes 270,5 million euros allocated for Montenegro.
During the presentations, brochures on the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance were distributed to participants.
FORS Montenegro, in cooperation with the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, on 18 December started implementation of a new project, "Cross-border Fire Protection", funded by the European Union within Cross-border Cooperation Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro. The project will be implemented in the following municipalities in Montenegro: Niksic, Pluzine, Savnik, Zabljak and Pljevlja, while the activities in BiH will be implemented in Mostar, Jablanica, Konjic, Ravno, Stolac, Cajnice, Gacko, Bileca and Trebinje by the Minsitry of Security of BiH and Institute for Protection of Fires and Explosions.
Within the project "Improvement of Tourism and Traffic Signage", an interactive show window enabling tourists, visitors and citizens of Trebinje to get informed on tourist and cultural offer of the town easily and free of charge has been launched today. The interactive show window offers information in three languages, it will be available 24 hours and regularly updated with new information.
The aim of the project, which is jointly implemented by FORS Montenegro, City of Trebinje, Municipality of Niksic and tourist organisations from Niksic, Trebinje and Pljevlja, is to contribute to development of regional tourism through tourist promotion of these towns and placing of tourist and traffic signs. The project is funded by the European Union, within Cross-border Cooperation Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro.
U cilju informisanja potencijalnih aplikanata o mogućnostima apliciranja za sredstva EU posredstvom Instrumenta za pretpristupnu podršku (IPA) u finansijskom periodu 2014-2020, FORS Montenegro – Fondacija za razvoj sjevera Crne Gore održava prezentacije u sjevernim opštinama Crne Gore. Na prezentacijima će biti predstavljeni i neki od IPA projekata koji su uspješno realizovani u sjevernom regionu Crne Gore
Pozivamo predstavnike lokalne uprave, javnih institucija, civilnog sektora i drugih udruženja i institucija koji se mogu pojaviti kao aplikanti za EU fondove da prisustvuju prezentacijama i tako se informišu o mogućnostima koje su na raspolaganju Crnoj Gori kao zemlji kandidatu za članstvo u EU.
Prezentacije će se održati prema sledećem rasporedu:
• Plužine – 18. decembar, opštinska sala, sa početkom u 9 časova;
• Šavnik – 18. decembar, opštinska sala, sa početkom u 13 časova;
• Rožaje – 22. decembar, Centar za kulturu, sa početkom u 11 časova;
• Andrijevica – 23. decembar, Centar za kulturu, sa početkom u 12 časova;
• Žabljak – 23. decembar, opštinska sala, sa početkom u 9.30 časova;
• Pljevlja - 23. decembar, opštinska sala, sa početkom u 13.30 časova;
• Plav – 24. decembar, opštinska sala, sa početkom u 13 časova.
U Beranama i Bijelom Polju prezentacije će biti organizovane u januaru 2015.
Projekat „Hajde da razgovaramo o EU 2", u okviru koga se održavaju prezentacije, finansira Delegacija Evropske unije u Crnoj Gori.

A brochure on the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance – IPA has been made in order to present the possibilities within this EU funding mechanism provided to Montenegro as a candidate country. The brochure also contains information on some of the IPA projects that have already been implemented in the northern region of Montenegro, and it has been developed within the project "Let me tell you something about the EU 2", implemented by FORS Montenegro in the municipalities of Berane, Andrijevica, Plav, Rožaje, Bijelo Polje, Žabljak, Šavnik, Plužine and Pljevlja.
