In the frame of the project which FORS Montenegro implements with EDEN Centre from Albania, within CBC Albania-Montenegro, financed by the EU, realisation of the activity lectures for students about separate waste collection and recycling started.
First activity was forming of Eco Patrols, second - training for Eco Patrols and teachers and next lectures on recycling and separate waste collection. Five Primary Schools are involved in the mentioned projects: Vuk Karadzic – Berane, Vukasin Radunovic - Berane, Bajo Jojic - Andrijevica, Hajro Sahmanovic – Plav and Dzafer Nikocevic - Gusinje, local authorities, and Public utilities from Berane, Andrijevica and Plav.
During the teaching students have had an opportunity to gain new knowledge about environmental protection and to learn what is waste, recycling and compost. Also they learned in which trash they should dispose different garbage type. They learned that in blue bin they should dispose paper, in green glass, in yellow plastic and in grey bin metal. Lectures were held by the FORS Montenegro trainers and involved besides interesting photographs information about environmental protection, like two cartoons that children accepted very well.
In the end of lectures the practical exercise where children practically showed gained knowledge and disposed waste separately has been held. Principal of Primary School Bajo Joji? Mr Dobrasin Lalevic stated: This is good opportunity for children to learn about recycling and separate waste disposal, and how to give their contribution to protect environment. This activity was opportunity to promote web site that was designed within the project and which is available on address www.pronature.me and also used to share children educational brochures and leaflet.
