IPA II
The aim of the project Let’s Grow Together with IPA 2 was to strengthen capacities of civil society organisations and local authorities for preparation and implementation of projects, as well as promotion of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance – IPA and other EU support programs among potential applicants. In the European integration process, the European Union provides significant funds for Montenegro as a support to negotiation process and reforms which contribute to the improvement of life standard and the quality of life of people, and the project was developed due to recognised lack of information of potential users of this support, in the first place civil society organisations, as well as low level of capacities for preparation and implementation of projects in line with rules and procedures of the donor.
A two-year project was implemented in the municipalities of Andrijevica, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Gusinje, Kolašin, Mojkovac, Nikšić, Petnjica, Plav, Plužine, Pljevlja, Rožaje, Šavnik and Žabljak, and its main activities include presentations and publications on the available funds of the European Union, trainings for project writing and implementation, manuals on these topics, a Conference on “Experience in accessing EU funds – challenges, opportunities and good practice models“, development of a mobile application which contains information on programmes and funds available to Montenegro, as well as sub-granting for organisations which passed the training programme.
In three series of trainings for project writing and development, 58 representatives of civil society organisations and 20 representatives of local authorities from 14 municipalities participated. Also, 5 projects in different areas important for local communities were implemented through sub granting programme, with the total value of € 35,000.
The project Let’s Grow Together with IPA 2 is financed by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro within Civil Society Facility and it was implemented in cooperation with the Association “Opstanak“ and the Ministry of European Affairs.
