Conference on Experiences in accessing EU Funds – challenges, possibilities and good practice models

A two-day Conference on Experiences in accessing EU Funds – challenges, possibilities and good practice models was organised in Kolašin on 16 and 17 November, with the aim to promote the available support of the European Union, present good practice examples in using EU funds, enable exchange of experiences with beneficiaries from the region and identify main challenges for successful usage of this support and recommendations for its improvement. The following officials spoke at the opening of the Conference: President of Kolašin Municipality Željka Vuksanović, Head of EU Delegation to Montenegro Aivo Orav, State Secretary in the Ministry of European Affairs Marina Vujačić, Ambassador orf Bulgaria to Montenegro Mladen Červenjakov, Consul in the Embassy of Croatia in Montenegro Hrvoje Vuković and Executive Director of FORS Montenegro, Veselin Šturanović.
The Conference gathered representatives of civil society organisations, local and state authorities, public institutions and enterprises, donors and media from Montenegro and the region who exchanged opinions and experiences on the available EU support and recommendations for its improvement during a two-day’s work.
The Conference was organised within the project Let’s Grow Together with IPA 2 whose aim is strengthening capacities of civil society organisations and local authorities for preparation and implementation of projects, as well as promotion of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance – IPA and other EU support programs among potential applicants.
The project Let’s Grow Together with IPA 2 is financed by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro within Civil Society Facility.
