FORS Montenegro project for procurement of equipment for the Brezovik Hospital
A Contract for the project Improvement of Respiratory Health which is funded by the Bulgarian Development Aid through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to Montenegro and which will be implemented by FORS Montenegro in the following 6 months has been signed in the premises of the Municipality of Nikšić today. The aim of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of health services in this area as well as to raise the awareness of the population on the importance of respiratory health. The main activities include procurement of two bronchoscopes and a set of biopsy forceps for the Special Hospital for Lung Diseases „Dr Jovan Bulajić“ in Brezovik and a campaign of prevention of respiratory diseases.
The grant provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Official Development Assistance of the Republic of Bulgaria amounts € 34,227 and the most of it will be used for the procurement of the equipment for the Hospital in Brezovik.
The contract signature ceremony has been attended by the Ambassador of the Bulgaria to Montenegro Dr Meglena Plugchieva, President of the Municipality of Nikšić Mr Veselin Grbović, the Head of the Special Hospital for Lung Diseases Dr Gordana Reljić and the Executive Director of FORS Montenegro Mr Veselin Šturanović. They expressed their satisfaction because the project got approved and emphasised the importance of the improvement of the quality of health services of the hospital in Brezovik which covers with is work the whole territory of the state and is the only specialised institution of this kind in Montenegro.
The project Improvement of Respiratory Health is a continuation of the activities of FORS Montenegro in the health sector by which we strive to contribute to improving health services in Montenegro.
