Informing citizens on 112 number
In order to inform citizens on the 112 number – a unique European number for emergency calls, information boards and posters with this number were placed within the project Disasters do not know borders. The boards and posters were placed on locations which were recognised as the ones with the highest traffic frequency in the target area, in cooperation with the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro: Willy Brandt Boulevard (Zlatica), Zetskih vladara Boulevard (main road Podgorica – Golubovci), road towards the Sozina tunnel and the road Ulcinj – Sukobin (close to the border crossing Montenegro – Albania).
The project Disasters do not know borders has the aim to strengthen capacities of institutions and services from Montenegro and Albania engaged in protection and rescue for disaster risk reduction, as well as raising awareness of the local population on the risks of floods.
The project is implemented in partnership with the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro and the Prefecture of Shkodra from Albania.
The project is financed by the European Union through Cross-border Cooperation Programme Montenegro-Albania 2014-2020 and it is co-funded by the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro. The Contracting Authority for the project is the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro – Directorate for Financing and Contracting of the EU Assistance.
