Presentation of good practice examples in social entrepreneurship

On 24 April a presentation of good practice examples in social entrepreneurship was held in Nikšić, with the aim to raise awareness on possibilities that this concept offers for creation of new jobs and overall socio-economic development. Good practice examples of social entrepreneurship from EU were presented by Sonja Vuković from the Association Slap from Croatia with a long-term experience in this area.
Apart from providing information on social entrepreneurship, the aim of the presentation was also to motivate the participants to learn more about this kind of entrepreneurship which, apart from creation of new jobs, contributes to solving certain social issues, through practical examples. The participants of the presentation were civil society organisations, unemployed persons, representatives of the local self-government and persons interested in starting their own activities related to social entrepreneurship.
The presentation was organised within the project SEEM – Social Economy for Employment in Montenegro, implemented by FORS Montenegro and funded within the Grant scheme “Youth, women and long-term unemployed at the labour market”, which is part of an EU project “Active labour market measures for employability“, implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
The aim of the SEEM project is to contribute to employment of youth, women and long-term unemployed through their capacity building and promotion of social entrepreneurship as a means of self-employment which at the same time contributes to solving certain social problems.
